In 2010 and 2011, Gerhard Haag, who sits on the NFPA’s Technical Standards Committee for Garages and Parking Structures, was instrumental in getting the needs of the automated parking industry recognized in this key international code. In 2011 the NFPA released the new edition of \u201cNFPA 88A: Standard for Parking Structures\u201d, including guidelines for automated parking structures in the standards for the first time.
